Kim was definitely known for her fashion sense pre-Kanye. Like I said, he ruined her. People checked for her makeup and fashion, she was literally mentioned in 90% of the fashion magazines I bought from maybe 2009-2012. Her dark, smoky eyes are so well-known. She was always the example for a curvy body type. You guys may not be aware of it but she was definitely used as an example fashion/makeup-wise.
