No, because Leona sold almost twice the albums, and now that i checked, Single Ladies was just starting in late 2008, it didnt become huge WW till 2009. And 2009 was Gaga´s year

Not one year when she wasn't either making world news (e.g. pregnancy era) or racking up number ones and Grammy's and sales and performances. She never stopped making headlines.
