Is everyone too young to remember 2003, when everyone wanted to be her?

ya I know but wasnt it because they counted the total sales or someting including 2006? I remeber there was controversy about Umbrella/Irreplaceable on the year end charts. and to be honest you cannot tell me Umbrella didnt have a bigger impact then Irreplaceable around the world and in shaping one of the biggest pop forces in the world Rihanna. I loved 2007 Beyonce but most ppl would agree that Rihanna had that year on lock. Beyonce dosnt need to have a year honestly. She has been rulling over a decade in different ways. lets just put it at that.

Ever heard of Madonna and Shakira?

You do realize that nowadays beyonce is DECIMATING The "it girls", right?
Christina,Britney,Fergie,Shakira,& Gaga, do not compare
And Shakira doesn't have the impact, not is she as influential as beyonce. Madonna doesn't count, she's the queen of pop, & has been doing this for years.

Her 1st era, Crazy in love and Baby Boy spent a combined over 20 weeks at #1, 5 Grammys in one night (they even asked her to perform twice), her album sold more than any of the girls atrl consider "it"
Her 2nd era, even more successful than the first and Irreplaceable spent like 12 weeks at #1 and that's the era she did Beautiful Liar

It's like a constant thing on here to try and put Beyonce, out of all of her peers(Britney, Xtina, Pink) in her place. I wonder why.....

And yet the effort to discredit her continues. Makes me wonder.....

Avril was selling more and Britney had more media attention during that time. Beyoncé was just there like she's always been

|
Lady Gaga started in 2008, but she didnt become massive till 2009. And i just noticed, 2008 had Katy Perry and her first 2 smash hits, and Leona Lewis. So as of now, 2014 could potentially be her first year as an it girl

Yes she was just there, busy being the #1 artist of that decade (according to Billboard)

judging a competition show, can't release an album, and struggling to scan platinum with her latest album. Bey remains unbothered on her sold out world tour.

I don't see shakira or christina booking the inauguration, so let's not.
And wasn't stripped released in 2002?
And aren't nelly & Christina Latinas?
Obviously you don't seem to understand that more than one person can slay at the same time.

That isn't the point, why are you getting so defensive about it when you clearly don't understand what "IT Girl" means. Beyonce is a more popular version of Pink, /endthread

Once again, she doesn't have the amount of impact as beyonce, which was implied in the initial comment.

I Am Sasha Fierce was and is still bigger than Katy's and Leona's 2008 era.
Like you said, Katy had 2 and Leona 1 hit, Beyoncé had Single Ladies, If I were a boy, Halo and Sweet Dreams.
Try again
