I thought of Shakira and she is my fav pop girl. acctually I forgot that Irreplaceable especially smashed in early 2007 and the imapct of Dream gurls came in 2007 too so yes Shakira owned 2006 as the it girl of that year.
yet I cant say Beyonce owened 2007 either now because Rihanna did with her new look and umbrella :/ I guess Beyonce never owned any other year but 2003 (arguably) thx to Crazy in love and Baby Boy

2006 Nelly Furtado sold 10 million copies WW Bday Like 6 million, Fergie and Shakira were also a monster, so too much going on


As I say she has always been overshadowed in the top spot by someone else, till 2013 we could say or 2014 if she ends up being the top sold female
