2006 MTV Movie Awards performance of Aint No Other Man
2009/10 Hope for Haiti performance of Lift Me Up
Lift Me Up at Hope for Haiti (I actually teared up during this one the first time I watched it )
I Love You Porgy at Grammy Nominations Concert
Hurt at MTV VMAs
You Lost Me at VH1 storytellers
Walk Away at David Letterman
Right, it was just way too competitive, with those two plus Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and P!nk. There was just no room for her.
And that Summer of 2012, there was such a drought of new dance/pop songs. Pop radio had to even resort to playing a Ne-Yo song that nobody wanted (The sales were terrible given how high airplay was) just because they needed new dance product and there wasn't enough
Almost every major radio comeback has to happen in a less competitive time. So I don't know why she/they chose such a competitive fall to try to come back
I agree, but if a song is destined to smash it will. If YB had promo it would have done great and could have potentially gone at least platinum. It sold more than NMT first week as well .
I really like this performance at the Latin Grammys 2001
She's such an underrated dancer
My fave performances are:
I love You Porgy (not sure where this performance is)
Oh Mother at that MTV special
Pero Me Acuerdo de Ti in Otro Rollo(mexican show)
ANOM at the MTV Movie Awards
HER ALL TIME BEST PERFORMANCES ARE
1.A Song For you live on Ellen, Grammys and letterman or was it leno?
2.Beautiful live on ellen
3.walk away live on letterman
4.Lift me up
5.Contigo en la distancia live on leno
6.All the stepping out with my baby performances (Technical vocals perfection)
7.Her spanish medley at the grammys
8. her medley at the LATIN grammys
9.Her beautiful in GMA concert
10.impossible at the ama
11.it's a mans world
12.bound to you on leno
random order and just a few of the many live moments her singing has given me life.
Her most overrated for no valid reason performance is CNN heroes one
The worst moment as fan has been: AMA lotustina medley and MTWM on the voice
Johnny Cash has some exquisite taste there, these would be my choices too, although I found the Walk Away perf on Letterman and the Lift Me Up performance at the Haiti Concert to be all time highs too.
1. Ain't No Other Man At NRJ Awards (For me it's perfect)
2. Life Me Up (Hope For Haiti)
3. Bound To You (Jay Leno)
4. A Song For You (Ellen)
5. Bionic Medley At MTV MA (Not her best vocally, but I really love it)
I don't even mention her 2007's grammy performance, that's another level.
That's very true, I'm glad I watched that again. Even if Lotus is her most basic except the debut, that doesn't mean it's meaningless or unimportant. Just a different route that expresses where she is at that point and time.
Album #6 will be different. Excluding the non major releases.
I couldn't agree more! While Lotus may seem the weakest of her albums in terms of quality, she still put her all into it. The production is the main fault of the album tbh (although it's entirely subjective) so it's definitely not a reflection of her artistry.
Album #6 will definitely be a step up, after all, Christina is an artist that strives to improve and reinvent herself.
1. Ain't No Other Man At NRJ Awards (For me it's perfect) 2. Life Me Up (Hope For Haiti)
3. Bound To You (Jay Leno)
4. A Song For You (Ellen)
5. Bionic Medley At MTV MA (Not her best vocally, but I really love it)
I don't even mention her 2007's grammy performance, that's another level.
I've been watching this performance a lot lately. It's so heartwarming and full of emotion. And her soft cooing at 2:14 SLAYS!
1. James Brown tribute
2. 'ANOM' at the MTV Movie Awards
3. 'Walk Away' on Letterman
4. 'Impossible' on the 'Stripped' tour
5. 'Understand' at the 'B2B' tour
'A Song For You' at the Grammy's, 'Say Something' at the AMA's, 'Makes Me Wanna Pray' on the B2B tour and on Ellen and the Aretha Franklin tribute in 2011 are honorable mentions
