Yeah, he was huge. I even remember hearing him all the time in the UK as a teen. For a rapper, that was HUGE. I mean people didn't even know who Nicki was till Super Bass here (read: white people) but everyone knew about Kanye from his debut single. He was just like...wow.
I lived through most of his 90s work and always had his music played in my house growing up. But his fans overrate him that has nothing to do with MJ himself per say.
