And they are not popstars because their careers have not gone/been marketed that way. You are not innately born a popstar. You do not release music
innately as a popstar. You receive and generate success, hinging on how well your music fits in with what general music buyers want, how prolific your media activity is and your image, too.
Popularity does
not hinge on quality. Trends come and go. Selling well one moment does not ensure you'll sell well the next (inb4

). Music quality is but a very small component in sales. If it were as important as you pretend it is, then artists making much superior music to any of our faves would be in your signature right now.
