Those aren't the only popular groups + just because someone isn't popular doesn't mean they don't make music westernized music.

Pledis girls showed so much potential but you know that Pledis sucks at management. Look at NU'EST, AS and Son dambi decline on sales because of their bad management, Hello Venus could be a very famous group but with one comeback a year it's impossible. For example, both debuts of NU'EST and HelloVenus are their biggest hits yet (Face also physically, Tea? sold more than Venus tho). If Pledis was managed right, Hello Venus could be a third-tier group with very promising fanbase and NU'EST could be on level of BTOB / BTS. I love all of their artists but the company itself is so so bad

Let's face it tho, 95% of us got into K-Pop through 2NE1 or SNSD. They're easy access, I don't see anything wrong with it if it helps introduce people to the genre.
