I came home to see this.
This is pathetic and a complete disgrace to the Billboard charts. I don't care how many times a video gets viewed,
it does not make the song popular. NOBODY was watching that video for the song. I mean, why the **** would you consider that song popular just because a video with it in it was viewed a few million times?
I liked the Billboard charts much better when they weren't ****ed up because of this ****** YouTube rule. Official music videos are the only videos that should be counted towards streaming. And I hate how Gary Trust writes these articles as if it's no big deal that an
UNKNOWN song enter in the top 10 of the most prestigious and popular music chart there is.

Originally thought to be a purely viral creation, "Kiss" was revealed as a collaboration between Soko and Wren, a womenswear brand.

This makes me even more fed up. Absolutely pathetic.
NO COMPANY WHATSOEVER should be able to influence a music chart. Advertising has already crept into almost every corner of our world, and there is no need for it in music.
Just because a video clip of a song is widely viewed on YouTube does not make a song popular. This incident has sapped a good bit of my passion for the Billboard charts, and I am extremely disappointed by the judgement of the entire Billboard team.
