Thing is, it's all well and good to want both Nicki and Iggy to co-exist, but is that really gonna happen? Y'all know people are gonna pit them against each other and treat Iggy like the new toy and Nicki like the old toy. I'm not worried about Iggy overshadowing Nicki or anything like that, but we live in a day and age where two women just aren't allowed to co-exist without some sort of animosity. This whole forum is built on pitting female artists against eachother.
Anyways, it's all kinda moot because I really don't see Iggy making much impact. Her songs are catchy bops, but there's something about her that can just never let me take her seriously. There's a reason she 's a bigger deal in the pop community than the hip-hop.

To co-exist does not mean for them to be the best of friends and all of that. It means for them to both exist in the musical landscape.
They don't have the same demographic, and that's exactly why Iggy is succeeding now, and will continue to succeed.
And on the "can't take serious" trip, I'm sure there's a lot of people that have the same exact description for Nicki.
