Janet's albums are great but not as ground-breaking as her fans think.

1. Music critics are just glorified journalists, not music experts. Most of them didn't major in music in school, they majored in English or Journalism. Their opinions aren't worth nearly as much as people on this site will have you believe. What really matters is that Janet's music and image are still being studied and replicated by pop stars of all races, both genders, and from several continents over 30 years after her musical career started.
2. I'd like to see receipts showing that anyone in this thread said that Janet was Beyoncé's only influence.
