Yeah it is great that Coldplay is holding up . . . But you forgot to mention that they have had a banner for two weeks now. You are underestimating its power and Coldplay these days can sell just on name alone. You may think the iTunes festival didn't help, but Coldplay's name has been all around the iTunes page. Also they had hype too. People were waiting for a new song since Midnight was released.
And you can't compare Coldplay (who has been in this game for many years) to Phillip who is still looking to establish himself. Raging Fire will rise up, and I'm glad Coldplay is high but at this point is expected to see that they have fans and longevity with their songs.
