I think Hard Candy era is over.
I'm happy for Mariah and Leona with their sales.

+1
This is the only chance Hard Candy has of being a big hit. "4 Minutes" has shown Madonna can score a mega radio hit with the right song, "Give It 2 Me" has no chance but might be a good download seller, if people move on from downloading "4 Minutes" But for the third single she needs another radio hit so "Beat Goes On" is the obvious choice. BGO is the only other single from the album I can see reaching top 20 in the US. "Miles Away" will keep the album going in Europe at least, and at most will appeal to an older audience in the US.

The HC era is nowhere NEAR the point of over. It's still in the Top 20 and it's now Gold. With the right singles, It still has a chance at going Platinum, especially since sales have stabilized, so I wouldn't write this album off if I were you.

^I agree with both of you. At first, I wanted Devil to be the 3rd single, since we haven't had a Madonna ballad released in AGES, but now, I really want BGO to be released next. Also, Madonna should release it as the next single because it NEEDS to have a REAL video to go along with it. She probably won't have the time to film a video in the Fall when she is on tour. Let's cross our fingers that it happens!

I honestly think "Devil" would kill the album. I mean I love the song, but I just don't see how it would appeal compared to others.

Leona fell I still think that her sales this week will be pretty close to lasts, I'm pretty sure its just the large amount of debuts in front of her causing her to fall. This looks like a good sales week
Last week at 28.66% these were her sales
6 3 LEONA LEWIS J RECORDS/RMG 14,442
SPIRIT
She ended up with around 38,500, so she should end up with around 35,000 this week

Music135, if you look at the others that were released around the same time as Leona, before and after, you will see she is doing really well . As well with 'BIT' being released to radio in the next few weeks, I'm confident it will hold up well and go platinum by August

Gah, Ashanti fell, I was hoping she would debut Top 5. Yes, Carrie is holding strong. Chris Brown's rerelease must have came out last week or something. Damnit, he went up a lot.
