Most of Madonna's hit singles were released in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s when singles rarely sold more than 2 million in just the US. Nowadays songs can go 4 x platinum in a short period of time... y'all need to stop lmao

Rihanna debuted the same year that digital songs were added into the UK charts, people like Britney and Beyonce came out with Physical singles and people like Katy and Gaga missed 3 - 4 years of digital sales before releasing their first songs.

Not trying to diminish Rihanna's achievement, as it's obviously amazing, but she debuted at exactly the right time to make this kind of impact.

You do realise you didn't answer the question right?I asked why rihanna was the only person from the 2000s to make the list.There is no denying that Madonna's achievements are impressive considering most of her successful singles are from the 80s and 90s but it's ludicrous to claim that rihanna made the list because of the many singles she releases,this is a great achievement and will remain so.

I would say that the digital sales experienced a boom during the debut of Katy and Lady Gaga's careers yet neither are on the list.Moreover most of rih's digital sals come from her post 2007 material which is only a year before katy's and gaga's debut.
