I'm not a native English speaker and when I'm hearing this Broods song I say to me fine but it doesn't captivate me, I don't want to know what the lyrics are what the mood of the singer is.
If I heard the first time Lorde I wanted immediately know what she has to say.
She can create a inner potential that only can generate a handful artists each decade.

The same with Britney 15 years ago, when I saw the video the first time I wanted immediately know whats under that skirt, well some years later she displayed it to us.

I can see what you're saying. I don't think that Broods would ever get the hype that Lorde got. Broods will probably go the college-radio, indie-friendly ride. I just find it remarkable that her 'sound' could be imitated, recreated, and duplicated. Yella is a promising songwriter
