Capital FM practically dictates the charts & has a much bigger impact than BBCR1. Just their support alone is enough to debut a single in the top ten, regardless of how irrelevant you are (see Cover Drive's 3 top 10's as an example)

Edit: BBCT1's audience has an average age of 33, hardly the group of people that would buy a Cheryl Cole single anyway

Yeah, it was on power rotation on Capital FM for quite a long time. Tbh it's sales kinda underperformed when you compare them to its radio play

It's amusing how some people always put the same example when talking about radio airplay. Where is Cover Drive? Not forgetting they were signed to Capital FM's record label.

A super hit needs more than just Capital FM playing a song.

Under the Sun was in the top 20 of the radio airplay chart for two weeks so not that much.

She needs to give 100% commitment this era. She was so into 3W era but the last two just ended quickly.

AML: it didn't open as big but it could've been more successful with more promo and singles. The GA reunion got in the way.

I definitely think this era is going to be more akin to 3 Words than MLR. She has no distractions with XFUSA or Girls Aloud and she's about to undertake a grand return that will undoubtedly garner a significant amount of press coverage. I think that this is the era we've been waiting for!
