So true. I don't really know how I feel about it all though. Sure, the songs are good while they're out but I feel like a lot of them are a bit trend-hopping and pretty forgettable really.

But these are quality tunes that are smashing worldwide also. Clean bandit, Route 94(which Adele tweeted about months ago) & now Duke Dumont. Incidentally Jess Glynne, who features on two of these, sounds a lot like Adele.

And the UK charts has always had a very strong dance music presence. Goes back decades.

Agree. It was like this in the late 90's as well. Route 94's song has been getting played on some radio stations here for many months now.

Only time when there was a noticeable lack of dance music was 2008-2011, but that's because all the pop and R&B stars were releasing dance-pop music, so the real dance music got pushed to the side-lines for a few years.

M&RL had a similar ascension in hype during 2013, but they should think about releasing their second album in the 3rd quarter of this year if they really want to keep momentum up.
