Why would she need to release it anyway? Doesn't make a difference. Some of her best songs like No Way, Reloaded, Retro Physical and Living on The Radio haven't had album releases, but it doesn't make the songs less enjoyable.
You always have to go the root of the issue. Now that it's out there, there's nothing that can be done. But the people who have had this song and have planned this leak for today cannot get off the hook. It's seriously ridiculously, considering they were ones Gaga knew.

Why are you guys assuming this has anything to do with Gaga's favouritism? Things leak all the time due to hackers and trading. That's how Aura leaked.
Plus, the fact this song is from 2010 apparently, doesn't really help.
