I'm sorry but "Applause" is one of the best songs of all time.
Alicia has an ear for beautiful melodies. IDK what happened. She became such a hack after getting with Swizz Beaks.
That's because a lot of her melodies are rehashes of other melodies, either raised in the 7th, a slight change in the chord progressions, transposed to a different key, the rhythmic pattern is slowed down by a tempo, ect.
