Don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way or as shade (because it is not) but isn't you fave Britney? She did had a major meltdown and her "mental state" wasn't the best. Yet she still came out on top as of today.
What I mean is: those who live in glasshouses cannot throw stones. I don't see Gaga heading for a meltdown. In fact, I think this is what she loves: playing the fragile" victim" who's bullied by the press, haters, critics, etc and use that to move her fan base to support her. Yes, she knows people wanna watch her decay and she's getting promo from it. Like "Lady Gaga gets puked on" will sound terribly negative and she knows the repercussions of her actions.
I'm not saying it's a gimmick but she copes better with the hate than ya'll give her credit for...
