I think people love this album because it tells a story in the way Destiny Fulfilled did, except it is taken much further here. It's not just about the ups and downs of relationships, leading you to find true love in God, your friends, and the one partner who is deserving of you. As touching and real as that story is, this album is so much more than that. It discusses everything a woman goes through- the constant societal pressures for perfection that do not really lead to happiness at all. At the end of the day, you can push yourself to be all these things society says you should be, you can win trophies and be considered beautiful, but is that what really matters? Bey says to take all that **** and throw it to the side like the trophies she smashes. You wake up flawless in your own special unique way, and she defines beauty not by outer appearance, but by inner qualities: be a good person, love your haters and do not feel the need to fight fire with fire, speak your mind and do not feel afraid to be thought of as bossy. She expresses the ideal of the grown woman, who can speak and do whatever she wants; society tells women they cannot be equal, that they have to let men take control, and Beyonce is having none of that ****. You can own your own company and be financially successful through your own hard work. But being a successful businesswoman does not prevent you from finding love and being in a sincere, meaningful relationship with someone you love, nor do you just have to be the little wife when you marry someone else. You can find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, because life is too short to spend apart from the people you love; find the one person who loves you unconditionally and brings out the best version of yourself, who wants you to achieve your goals and supports you no matter what. You can belong to each other fully in all senses of the word. Sexuality is a huge theme in this album because it is nothing to be ashamed of or held back; it is a superpower that can be fully expressed. It is a fundamental aspect of a monogamous relationship; you please one another, give your all to satisfy one another, and fully express your love in a physical sense as well as an emotional one. And there is nothing wrong with that; it is something to be praised rather than hushed. Of course, life will present you with troubles, but together you can overcome them. Keep your promises to each other and do not neglect your love; this can only lead to jealousy and the deterioration of your relationship. Relationships are not all just drunk sex in the kitchen; Beyonce acknowledges that, and urges both husbands and wives to work to keep their relationship as alive as it was when it started. Tragedy may befall you in life, and heaven may take away those you love too early. But you can always turn to God and your family for support. You can lean on the love you find in your husband and your child to get you through the hard times and more importantly, make the most of the good times. And when you have a child, you hold onto them and never let them go. You can still be a strong businesswoman with a thriving career, but you can also be fulfilled in a way you never could have imagined through the child to whom you gave birth, and you love them more than you ever thought you could love anyone. And then you pass on the life lessons you have learned, and help them to see that they are beautiful inside and out, no matter what the rest of the world says. It really is a beautiful message, and this work of art has not only given us a glimpse into the life of Beyonce, but also into the life of every woman. And that is an amazing thing.

I still hate the Glastonbury look... to me it's a baggy, cheap looking sweaty mess. The only time I've ever felt so strongly about a Beyonce costume, but the Superbowl and Grammy 2014 looks, I also don't care for.

^No nicknames, sweetie! Believe it or not, there are petty people who are fans of other artists that come in here to report things like that. Sad, I know.
