I never really understood the "graduation" process in Asian groups. How does it usually work?
In korea the only group that use a graduation system is After School, and the girls graduate when they want to/when they feel like it's the right time. So far only 3 girls graduated during those 5 years.
Jewelry have some generation stuff, that when an old member leaves, someone is added, just to keep the 4 girls number.

But only 3 girls graduated in 5 years.
Do they honestly leave of their own accord though? Like when Kahi left the group she seemed pretty devastated She'd been working towards being successful in the industry for so long and only ended up being in the group for like 3 years.
Obviously I don't know as much about AS as you but to me it's always seemed like something the company has 100% control over regardless of whether or not members want to leave.
The thing with Kahi is that she was too old, even compared to Jung-A...
The CEO and her had a conversation where he tried to convince her to stay (at least for Flashback), but she refused, she really wanted to do something with her life besides being a girlgroup member, she wanted to be Park Gahee for once, not After School's Park Gahee.

So it varies per group? Interesting.
I just thought companies "graduated" the girls when they felt like their time was done or got too old.
