I had just gotten accepted to a pretty selective university and my teacher overheard me talking about it to one of my classmates...She waddled over and was like..."you know you only got in because you were Black, right?" even though I had the highest SAT score in the school, and was president of like everything. I even had the highest grade in her class! Smh...That really upset me.
Other than that, I haven't really experienced much in terms of racism...

There was a hugely popular guest speaker at my university (I went to UGA, don't remember his name though) who was speaking on white privilege and racism. He lectured about how white people can experience discrimination, but not racism because that requires power, or a lack thereof.
FYI, he was White...

Personally I've been followed around in stores... Like bitch, do you really think I wanna still this lil $12 shirt on clearance.
Also, this guy referred to me and my friends as "****** slaves" under his breath, but one of my friend has really good hearing.
If I wasn't there to prevent an altercation, they would've destroyed him. The sad part is, he was clearly gay, so you would think he would know a little something about discrimination.

I'm not white but I'll probably just be thrown into the uncle tom category. Amusing how activists/social liberals despise conservatives for being close-minded when they're stubborn as well, just in different aspects.

Anyway…. I am Latino and I was hanging out with my White American friend in Philadelphia getting out of a Gay bar like around 3 am or so and we were walking to our car and then suddenly, these group of Black guys in a car call us Cracker and the F word (for gays) and threw a big beer bottle at us. But thankfully they missed... but it hit a wall of a building and it splash all over the place. We got some glass and beer on our clothes and hair and all. Pretty awful experience.

That's a made up definition of racism and is not true. It's called RACism, not MINORITism

Affirmative Action is on it's death bed and has statistically benefitted white women more than any other disadvantaged group. Nigerian immigrants are also just as socioeconomically successful as White Americans. The reason these foreign ethnic groups flourish is because of rotating credit associations and the lack of historical repercussions that African-Americans and Native Americans faced.
You tried though.

You missed my point, niece. What was done in the past still affects minorities to this very day. Plain and simple. And I didn't bring up the topic, I was clarifying another member's misunderstanding. And by saying you stopped reading because you didn't want to hear about it, exactly proves my point.
Lord, ya'll are too much.

Sis what the hell is a made up definition? They're all made up. Their definition of racism makes perfect sense and 2 sentences in a dictionary won't change that. Also word meanings can change over time.

I went to a suburban Target and was followed around by security the entire time. They thought they were lowkey ducking behind aisles and **** when I turned my head, but I saw them. I only went in there for a few things. They had they nerve to check my bag at the door. But other customers got to sail on through without so much as a second glance.
But let me perch for more 'racist' incidents.

Many places are beginning to recognize affirmative action less and less (see Fisher v. Univ. of Texas), and yes Asians are highly successful but even in the instances of Asian enrollment in colleges and universities, the most qualified students aren't accepted if the quota has been filled.

I'm not trying to invalidate your point, but I'm just confused now:
Didn't you say blacks struggle the most? But just now you said Nigerian immigrants are just as socioeconomically successful as White Americans. But they're black, too. So doesn't is show that there really isn't a system of white hierarchy?

Girl bye, who asked you to pay for anything?
I'm not looking for charity, I was simply making a point that too many White people are ignorant of the institutions that are in place to ensure their success and suppress everyone else's.
Racism today is hardly about a white person calling me the N word. I could give a flying **** if somebody didn't like me because I'm Black.
