The difference is that Kesha flopped doing something that she was fighting against (Die Young writing credit controversy, release of C'Mon and Crazy Kids as singles over other tracks, Machine Gun Love not making the album, Dirty Love unauthorised video release, etc.) whereas ARTPOP is Gaga's vision, through and through. Gaga is flopping when she's trying her hardest, so unless she gives up her creative freedom and lets someone else get her career back on track (which I don't think is a good idea judging Kesha's situation, either) she'll only continue to regress unfortunately.
Kesha is gearing up for one of the biggest comebacks in pop music history. I'm talking up there with Believe by Cher and We Belong Together by Mariah Carey.

I don't believe this was gaga's vision for ARTPOP. As we saw, a lot was added and changed a month before the release. I believe the label was pushing things... just look at DWUW.

No shade and all but one just hit #1 on iTunes and one is struggeling to get into the top 100. My answer is clear and I think Kesha will make a bigger comeback.

Slay with those essays
But I don't know what happened with these last albums you're talking about.
I must be a bad gay.
