From what I experienced was they were taking donations where they were also doing the early entry upgrades, it was literally by random selection that people were given BeyHive Pit tickets. I donated a few shirts and pants and so did my friend and that's how we got it.
Also, if you're donating and have a group of friends, individually donate. A girl who donated got the tickets but none of her friends did, and they all assumed they would get them since their friend did.
