Well BoomKack said that Gaga wanted to do something absolutely crazy during the MV but she stopped it because of her own religious views and she felt like she was going to be struck by lightning on set As to what Gaga was actually GOING to do during the video, no one knows. Crucifixion doesn't seem too out of the park for Gaga though.

Tbh I thought the muppet special was going to be something like this, but it wasn't all that sweet like this one was. The Muppet special isn't bad, but just isn't my cup of tea. This was more Gaga, but sit around the T.V with the family Gaga.

I remember in some interview, BoomKack said that the video had parts cut because she was very faithful and "didn't want to be struck by lightning". During the filming of The Passion of the Christ, Jim Caviezel (who played Jesus) was struck by lightning on set. Now that I look it up, there's nothing that says it was during a crucification scene, but what else would've been so controversial that it would've been cut out?
