The HIVE as a whole are arrogant and insufferable and attack any artist/their fans who are even somewhat in competition with her. They're also very ignorant and all of a sudden feminist when 5 minutes before Beyoncé came out Rihanna was a "*****" who needed sex to sell unlike "classy Beyoncé". Now that she's singing about giving blowjobs and telling girls to bow down it's suddenly empowering to women.

If you think that "singing about giving blowjobs" is antithetical to empowering women, then you don't understand what feminism is. It's about giving girls and women freedom of expression. Beyoncé's singing about sucking dick should be no more or less acceptable than Trey Songz singing about "diving in".

I didn't say that I said her fans got on other artists (Rih, Ciara, Kelly) for doing the same and **** shamed them but now that she's doing it it's ok. His point is that it was frowned down upon by the Hive when the other girls were doing it, Rihanna specifically, before BEYONCE came out. They used to drag the **** out of Rihanna for "selling sex" and being a bucket. Now since Bey is all about freedom of sexual expression and **** and she's walking around singing about getting nutted on and swallowing loads it's okay. I don't give **** about the argument itself. I'm a feminist and I'm all for women being able to let their freak flags fly while receiving the same treatment as their male counterparts, but to just jump on board when your "fave" is finally embracing it is ignorant as ****.

Clark, you know I don't have a problem with Beyonce and recognize her for her talents and actually listen to her music so it's not me "hating" at all. Nor am I generalizing the entire BeyHive because there are a few pleasant ones, such as yourself; however, some are downright insufferable.

Anyway, that wasn't even why I said they were annoying. I said that from offline encounters with the dumbasses and because one of the few threads I've seen since my lack of activity on here was "Is BEYONCE the best female pop album of all time?". Like, it's all a matter of opinion, but are there people who truly think that album is better than: The Velvet Rope, Rhythm Nation 1814, Ray of Light, Like A Prayer, Butterfly, Back to Black, Jagged Little Pill, Blue, Whitney Houston, etc? I don't even consider it to be Bey's best album.

Then, yesterday, one of my friends (who is Hive) was talking about how Beyonce has done more for music than Mariah, Janet, and Whitney.

And I do agree, Clark. There's a thin line between underrating and overrating a person, but damn.

Yea, see this is where your argument goes to ****. The ideals of feminism are based in individuality and self-empowerment, i.e doing what you want to do with your body/sexuality. Dictating what another woman should be doing goes directly against that. I think you and the Beyhive have a warped meaning of it.

She maybe and probably does. I have no problem with that. **** if I were some singer I probably would sing about the **** too. Good head can save the world. I have a theory that a lot of people who are angry and frustrated with the world, would be in a better place internally if they just got some amazing head; however, the main point is that the Hive considered it so asinine and "sad" when the other girls do it. Nah, she's always been a freak, but, I for one, have never considered her to be this hyper-sexual. Like I said, the nastiest songs on the CD are the only ones I use so trust and believe I have no problem with it. I have no problem with Beyonce actually. It's the select overbearing members of her stanbase.
