However, the album/era gets the hate mostly beacuse it caused the complete alienation from the gp and made it very hard for any next release to repair the damage.
I really did feel, during BTW, that Lady Gaga started to be a guilty pleasure and people were literally changing stations when BTW or TEOG came up, while back in 2009 and 2010 everyone was blasting to JD, PF and BR.
Something went wrong in terms of her relations with public, but it was the album she wanted to make, so I guess she doesn't mind, not sure about Interscope, though.

Tbh, and I know you don't really like Born This Way, it was the album that she wanted to create and release at her highest peak because it meant the most to her and she wanted her message to really break through and help others.
If it weren't for her frankly Satanic outfits, Judas being a single, and the whole Mother Monster term, the era would have been smooth sailing.

I remember that 4 years ago or so I had to give a speech to the rest of the class about some powerful famous female and I had to choose between her and Gaga. Then the TEOG MV came out and I chose Neve
