I lived outside of the USA for most of my life so I don't know any of those albums. Anyhow, from Diamond to ARTPOP #s (in 2008) is pretty tragic.

And Stripped sold 10m-11m, not 12m.

It is pretty sad. But the market in the US of 2008 + Usher's image with Urban was really bad.

Confessions came out pre-massive piracy era, and then HIS came out when Piracy started happening more common.

Regardless, the first week sales aren't that.

Confessions (1st week): 1.1M
Here I Stand (1st week): 433K

Not as bad as 1.1M -> 258K
