Can we get into the FLAWLESS masterpiece that is "The Roof"?!!! I mean what kind of POETIC SLAYAGE?!
"And then you casually walked in the room, and I was twisted in the web of my desire for you. My apprehension blew away, I only wanted you to taste my sadness as you kissed me in the dark..."
Also the music video is absolutely breathtaking. She perfectly captures the nostalgia dahlling! The nostalgia! The difference between the letterbox shots of her memory of the rooftop encounter mixed in with the fullscreen present-day images of her reflecting on the memory in her limousine. The cinematography, the production, the use of the Mobb Deep sample. It is JUST BEYOND. Probs my favorite combination single/music video by anyone, ever.
I want Mariah to actually CARE about her career again and switch it up. Either that or she can basically just give us the album and retire and live happily ever after with Nick and #DemBabies, because the way she's handling things this so called era (except for with #Beautiful) it already seems like she is living an early retirement. That's harsh, but ugh. I know she still has it. If she could just get it together. Why couldn't she continue the route she started with #Beautiful? No more ballads... A hot uptempo now please?

I have a good feeling that hot uptempo will be next (possibly Thirsty), hopefully released end of the month or early april. Now is a bit too early I think...unless it's the next Blurred Lines.
All Mariah needs to do to be successful is branch out a bit, everyone is bored of WBT knock offs, #Beautiful was perfect because it was different for her and it was great which is why people loved it.
Mariah acts like she was soo covered up/only wore turtlenecks between 1990-1996, but I don't see anything wrong with how she was dressed in them days. She looked like a normal 90s girl.
