true, but statistically one song is bigger than the other since neither track had the same amount of radio airplay, streaming or sales. according to 400Lux, if one song outperforms another then said song makes another song a moderate hit. i'm just trying to get to the bottom of this completely valid theory.

Of course. Performed better would be the proper phrase. They smashed separetly and in their own way.

It is wrong to call DH moderate just because of another's performance or at all really. Plug in it being from an album constantly moving units + it having been out for so long, it's a smash and a quite impressive one. No opinion, fact! Sorry 400L!

Well a little more than average, so 5x. platinum. But it won't sell 7 millions like BL and TS and it didn't have a 10 wks above 300k and 600k week.

I think the average copies for a smash is 3.5-4 like most of Rih's #1s, Timber, The Monster...

What exactly is you guys' definition of "overshadowed" because California Gurls had a long enough reign in 2010 It was everywhere, went 5x platinum, dominated airwaves, etc. Like I really want to know how you think that was overshadowed just because it was succeeded by another big hit
