The lowdown: A motivational cry of independence. The clapping, singsongy chorus—replete with soaring glory notes—provides the encouraging uplift, while the buzzy, stuttering hip-hop beats and Miley’s jokey rhymes light a fire under the listener’s ass. On an album conceivably about Miley’s newfound single status where most of the uptempo tracks avoid the subject entirely, this is one of the few bangerz to hit the mark.
ATRL says...: "Yes, Miley, gimme that ratchet anthem," stereo.love praised. lovesong thought it was "pretty cool sounding." adrianbeane enjoyed the "Bang, bitch" bit. "The closest to a non-single 'banger' this album has to offer," he wrote.
Best bit: "Bang, bitch/You think I'm strange, bitch?/It's bananas, like a ****ing 'rangatang, bitch/Don't worry 'bout me, I got it all arranged, bitch/Mind your business, stay in your lane, bitch"
I'm actually decently happy with the results of this rate so far, except for the snubbing of Birthday. I need to check back more often, I was planning on following this the whole way through
Mess. I already have to leave, but I'll check back in tomorrow morning. Hoping for more ARTPOP to go though, and I wouldn't be mad if Britney Jean was completely gone either
