There are plenty of artists I don't like or listen to but you can bet I won't be calling them names, hell I won't even mention them. Regardless of whether your coworker was sincere or not, it was too much with her response. "I don't like her" "I don't listen to her" hell, even "I hate her" are all better than what she said and what the hell does Mariah having twins have to do with anything?

Doesn't it bother you that we have to call each other sis, gurls or sistrens even though you are guys with a full functioning D?
I have to be honest, it's so cringe worthy and I can't imagine me saying it in real life. Just on ATRL.

I guess so, but probably part of it is she's 17, pretty young and naive. And Mariah isn't really that popular to the teens even when she tries too. One of my co-worker, he's a guy, actually listen to TEOM Mariah, I put Pandora all the time and Shake it Off and WBT came and he knew all the words!! He's probably in early 20s and I figured he would know these songs because as we all know Mariah was huge in 05. Back to the point, he said he likes Mariah before but after he married Nick he said that it's not cool to like Mariah anymore.

I would never address someone as "sis" in real life, but on ATRL I'm usually just having fun. I think in the beginning I sometimes used it satirically, and sometimes I used it just out of habit because others did. And eventually it became sort of endearing to call others sis when comforting others.  "Bro" is like, too masculine when I want to be cute and affectionate. It's like "Yo bro that's sick" as opposed to "Aww sis it's okay  "
I'll try to not call you sis if you don't like it though!

Out of base I just try to do it cause it's the norm. But still cringe-worthy. I understand, I don't even call my male friends, bros. Man, like "Sup Man" is fine for me. It's hard to like Mariah Carey when you're a guy.
The reason why I like Mariah is that her voice puts me to sleep. No shade, like whenever you just want to relax her voice puts you into a dreamland where it's you and her voice. The moment you listen to One Sweet Day, My All, Hero, Butterfly or to some obscure songs of hers like Whenever You Call, Outside, Looking In it feels like you want MORE. Like some sort of heavenly drug that you just want to listen to over over and over again.
