It needs better sales. For it to happen we need a performance or pop radio support. The song was just released on urban. It has a long way before we can talk about hitting #1. Besides, DrIL is slaying pop radio right now opening the way for the good sis Partition.

For real though we need a thread to discuss Bey's lack of promo this year. Could it be legal problems? Or do you think she's just not passionate about performing anymore? Because her failure to promote these songs which could have catapulted them all to no. 1 is pretty bizarre.

Or is she trying to make herself scarce like Prince and elevate her legend status?

I think she is just trying to prove this era that if the music is good enough and the artist high profile enough then promotion isnt even needed. and she is right. she should throw her old galfriend Mariah a bone though.

And I think the no promo/super minimal promo thing this era is just a part of her whole "letting the music speak for itself" deal that she's on right now. She's had no magazine covers, interviews or appearances, in addition to extreme minimal performing. Plus she has been tied up prepping for the additions to the tour as well. This is the first time she's released in the middle of a tour.

What legal issues would she have? And why would legal issues be a hindrance to her performing, anyhow?

That thread isn't necessary. She is on a tour and probably about to announce more dates. She wanted some family time before the your which is only natural. If this album taught us anything, we should never doubt Bey.
