Beyonce has a double threat with Partition, some Urban stations have been playing just the Yoncé part and it counts as a spin for Partition.

Vocally, it was boring. Beyonce can sing anything, but those ballads on the first half had no real peaks like say a Whitney or Mariah ballad. It was just versus-chorus-versus, then bye. The uptempos were the best part of the album, but even those were uneven.

"Ego" grew on me over time, btw.

If we take at look at her family the love for all things ''crack'' seems to run in the family.

In terms of Beyonce albums it goes.

1-Dangerously In Love (It has more standout track than any of her other albums + Hip Hop Star which is better than Partition)
2- B-Day (Deja Vu is alone the best R&B song of the 2000's. Get Me Bodied is awesome. Irreplacable is great).
3-I Am Sasha Fierce (almost as many standout tracks as DIL but worse album tracks).
4- 4 (End Of Time will be the best R&B song of the 2010's, Wicked production and Party/LOT are a better Blow)
5-BEYONCE (I appreciate the ARTPOP in it, but I only use a few tracks which are great).

I love/like "Halo," "Hello," "Scared of Lonely" and "Smash into You" (but I prefer the mash-up version with Jon McLaughlin), but even those are not powerful for ballad by a powerhouse vocalist. I could take or leave the others ballads.
