The fun thing is her debut was actually amazing and pretty deep without her even trying to be deep. Ironaically when she tried to make everything super complex with 'Electra Heart' lots of it became basic and predictable. I hope she ditches the whole image thing for her next era and focuses on her lyrics and vocals

Well there were around 1,5 years between these thigns happening.
She said that she felt like working with other songwriters too much made her feel like she doesn't have enough control.Then she loosened up and said that she wanted a more pop sound and worked with more generic producers to reach a much bigger audience. The songs on "Electra Heart" that resemble her old songs like Fear & Loathing and Teen Idle are much better than the others like Primadonna and HTBAHB.She should go back to working alone + 1 producer
