But to be honest, it's only humans that carry this meaning of life being "sacred" and whatnot. In essence, we're no different than a fly.

For all the talk of violence in entertainment de-sensitizing us, I've always found real-life footage of assault/trauma to be exponentially more disturbing/unsettling than a fictional depiction even if it's far less explicit.

The distinction between the unconscious gut reactions to illusion vs. reality feels feels substantial, at least for me.
