Saw a screencap and know the story, but refused to watch the actual video. Don't get me wrong, I love horror movies; blood, gore, violence etc. doesn't bother me and I'm not easily scared. But there's just something about watching someone die that I refuse to do, it just chills me thinking about it. For all the talk of violence in entertainment de-sensitizing us, I've always found real-life footage of assault/trauma to be exponentially more disturbing/unsettling than a fictional depiction even if it's far less explicit.
The distinction between the unconscious gut reactions to illusion vs. reality feels feels substantial, at least for me.
