They're both pretty different and Drake can't really beef Kendrick, King is making music about his life and the way his life was and still is.

Drake didn't grow up poor or in the hood, he just won't understand what it's like to make it from that sort of squalor.

Slow Down and B.E.A.T. are campy garbage but fun to listen to, and the rest of the album is inoffensive. There's nothing on the album that's unlistenable, except maybe Forget Forever and Write Your Name

Forget Forever is one of the best things on her great little pop album!

You don't sell over 250k+ twice without having some sort of clout in the rap community. Only rap artists with a true following in the hip hop crowd do that. All of J. Cole's material gets compared or degraded to his mixtape material. He's held to a standard of his former self. People have mainly criticized him for having so much more to him than what his albums present. He is not a Wiz, or A$AP, or Big Sean. He's bigger and more respected than any of them.

He is in that middle ground and I think he's missed that window of opportunity to become one of them.
