Do What You Want did do well without a video. It may weaker when compared side by side with DH, but for a song featuring R. Kelly without a video it did pretty great!

But this is Lady Gaga, who was the biggest superstar in the world before this happened. Applause should've done better considering it was her lead single and perfectly radio friendly, and DWUW had already completely fallen out of the charts before she was about to release the video. They both underperformed.

the prelude needed to be scratched and the cereal part was beautiful.
I think the ****** prelude makes the video seem less great then it is because it is an incredibly ambitious video.
It would have only been 9 minutes long without that bull ****!
She could have released the prelude as a teaser that was not attached to the video!
She could have just released the part with the song first and then the next month the whole thing with the cherios and **** and you know it would have been humongous.

I kind of prefer MTN to TEOG now. TEOG is far more catchier and melodic but the monotonousness of MTN and the fact that it isn't over the top melodic and catchy makes me feel less tired of it if that makes sense
