It's not his fault he's one of the most acclaimed artists of his generation, lol. If you were familiar with writing credits you would know that anytime a track has a sample, the writers of the original sample have to be credited in the writing credits, hence the mass amount of writers on all of his albums (even his earlier work).

That gets into a whole other can of worms about sampling.

Does sampling like crazy affect artistic integrity? Is rapping/singing over music and/or hooks that were made years beforehand a good practice for somebody who holds themselves in such high regard? Or should the music be more or less original & sampling kept to a minimum?

These are good discussions.

The "Urban" songs getting big (Happy, Talk Dirty, etc.) are just glorified pop songs.

I wouldn't be so annoyed if the songs doing well were actually good

Hip-Hop is built on sampling. I bet you can't name one Hip-Hop album (not by a Hip-Hop group) that doesn't contain a sample.

Either way, you won't be able to discredit him, LOL.
