And Yes that's Tula, I'm glad that you recognize an icon when you see one. Bye!

Oh,well i apologized if you didn't see that post. But it's very rare to meet a Tulisa album buyer these days (that's if you purchased it - The Female Boss). Toodaloo i guess.

This is actually true. Lana didn't really have any thunder to begin with, so there wasn't anything to steal. In some countries she might have though.

Lorde's a pop star. Lana is still in her own lane. Separate storms.

Lana didn't even have any thunder seriously, this question would've made more sense if the situation was different but Lana was never successful. But Lorde did end her and overshadowed her, before she even started.

I mean.

Regardless, "Royals" is a pop song and varies greatly to the music Alanis Morissette made/makes. We all know the way Billboard decides what is what in terms of genre these days are flaky.

Alternative Radio is eating it up too. It isn't just Billboard.
That's not to say Lorde isn't pop too (her album is art pop), but it's not all confined to a single genre.

The fact that you sell millions of records worldwide and people still calling it not successful. But I see, you keep staying perched in Lana threads everytime they show up. You should totally go in the charts section to look up her sales and show up in the Lana Base as well. You seem extremly devoted.

Born to Die has sold more than a lot of albums over the past couple years, including what this dump cites as her female contemporaries. Raw sales too, not bloated shipments by managers. And that's without any major hits, until the Cedric remix way after it had already sold millions. Just because she isn't a gimmick or a headlines darling doesn't mean she hasn't had any thunder. You don't sell as much as she has, sell out your shows and be a general name among the media without any thunder.
Lorde hasn't overshadowed anything just because she's all over the place. Of course she is more "popular" since she made a mainstream song to get played on Top 40 radio. But they're different artists who can coexist, obviously since Lorde is going down one path and Lana has already succeeded and is continuing down hers.

I've said all along that there's no reason why the two can't coexist.
According to Little Lipsters, Lorde is local. She's slaying in markets where Lana isn't local to (read: not Europe), so they don't even compete for a piece of the same pie.
The fumes will stop eventually I guess.

What devotion? It took me like 20 seconds to type that. Yes, because I don't post equally as much on any other pop girl thread. This is ATRL, the threads are there for people to discuss, the OP asked a question and I simply answered
But yeah, that is cute. Congrats to Lana for just hitting platinum in the US after two years, Lorde did it in less than a quarter of the time and the comparisons are really awkward cause it's clear who's more successful. It's actually hilarious to watch Lana stans trying to prove her relevance over and over again, but when the praise fails to go outside of ATRL and Tumblr and actually reflect on the charts, what else is left?

Will never understand the point of senseless posts like this

Anyway no , Lana and Lorde are similar bur theyre two different artists. Lana's fanbase hasn't decreased at all since Lorde's debut so.

It works both ways sis and If you look back at the post in this thread, you will notice that most Lana fans also said that they can both co-exist or insinuated that. The most hostile ones in here are the Lorde ''stans''.
But hey, you see what you want to see. I guess

Strange, you seem really devoted since you keep rushing into her threads like a madman. Kudos to you that you can type it in a few seconds.
You have been perched in this thread for the last 15 minutes though, knowing that there will be a response
Nobody is trying to prove anything. As I said, it's handy, go in the charts section here and look it all up. I am sure you already know that there is a thread about the BTD era. The fact that you reduce the world to the US alone, tells everybody else a lot about your mindset.

Now sis don't put words in my mouth. I never said there weren't fumes coming from both parties.
Idk what it is in this case, but more often than not (at least IMO) it's a Little Lizziester creating the trollish comparison threads.
Am just saying.

Everyone I talk to (including my mom) say they don't like Lorde's music because it "Doesn't make sense"...I mean, I don't get that argument at all because I think her music is pretty good, but everyone I know generally prefer Lana songs.

So I came rushing into this thread? Did you even look at the date when this thread was created? And this is the 6th page...Jesus
Either way, thanks for the offer but I have no intentions of entering threads that give her useless praise that don't reflect on the charts anyway. She's not worth a warning point.
