I don't like TTS. I think Taeyeon and Tiffany are rude and unlikeable. Bring SHY or a unit with Sica
Taeyeon's my second favourite after Hyoyeon, and I think she's like Jessica to a lesser extent, she comes off as incredibly stuck up when she's really not. In fact she admits to having a really short attention span and not being interested in a lot of things.
When Taeyeon chills she's incredibly likeable, like in the majority of their variety appearances.

You can't pinpoint that on anyone, they all sounded ****ing atrocious.
I can NEVER tell Yoona, Yuri, HyoYeon or Sooyoung apart. They all sound the same. That's the thing that irritates me with large groups and not enough distinctive voices.....TaeYeon, Tiffany, Jessica, Sunny and Seohyun are the only distinctive voices in the group
Yuri has quite a lower register - compared to Tiffany/Sunny etc. Soo... I can't describe but I can recognise her instantly for some reason. Maybe because she slays? Hyo has a gravelly tone to her voice and Yoona... I can sometimes figure it's her when I don't recognise who's singing, it's more than likely her.

remember how the good sis struggled with singing Lovesick live
She sounds like a banshee sis
I will give you better range, but technique? Hell no. Unless it's a ballad where she's standing still, she's a complete mess live

It's not as bad as Gossip Girls though. She has one word in that song.
FLASH!
She actually is the one who sings "Gossip, Gossip" throughout too

I don't know what it is about Taeyeon, but I just can't stand her, she's by far my least favourite in the group, I even like (pointless) Yoona more than her. Taeyeon can sing but she seems to have an attitude problem and her racist comments destroyed any respect I had for her.
Jessica is my favourite by far imo, I like her personality even though most people don't get it and I like that she's so chilled.

Well, I was understanding of your point and then you go and drop the racism poop.
I mean, the girl literally said one ignorant thing back in 2009, let it go. I've had this conversation before; black people are practically non-existent in Korean culture and history, so racial profiling because of skin colour has never been a problem there. Ergo, they've never been taught to tiptoe when it comes to issues like race, so 'racist' comments are inevitable.
It's ridiculous to bring her comment up nowadays as a valid argument for disliking her.
And before you say that Taeyeon comment was a translation gone wrong, Alkralkra (Korean member) told me it wasn't and that it's only what they want you to believe.

And he doesn't like k-pop btw.
Yeah, I think a few Korean speakers on Tumblr confirmed it wasn't mistranslated.
But it's whatever. Jack is right to an extent. I don't think idols should necessarily be excused entirely for making racially ignorant* remarks (not necessarily racist remarks) but it is fairly easy to understand why they say and think some of the things they do. I mean by now, with the WW fanbase and global exposure some of these groups have, you'd think they'd at least know when it is and isn't appropriate to say certain things but I guess nobody's perfect.
I agree with Callum, I don't expect much from the typical citizen in Korea but Idols have fans from all over the world.
It would be best to look into these kinds of things before saying stuff like that.

Yeah but then some K-Pop fans complain about America being "too racist" to Koreans. A lot of the Sones used that excuse for SNSD flopping in the US. But they can't use that when the leader makes such racist remarks. Just because it's not existent does not mean that it's right. They should be more careful what they are saying, especially when K-Pop is being exported worldwide.
Plus she is rude aside from her racist attitude. She is a complete bitch to Jessica. Allegedly they had some kind of backstage disagreement years ago, but Jessica keeps trying to move on and stay friendly but Taeyeon doesn't let it go.

Yeah, but SNSD were in training and debuted when KPOP was still local, so you can't really hold it against her.
And really ya'll need to stop acting like someone saying a light skinned person is prettier is something new or groundbreaking. Not that it's OK, but like ease up a bit. Lighter skin is the beauty standard in Asia, so it's not shocking that they would think the same of other races, if they think that of themselves.

I didn't really mean Taeyeon in particular just in general. But you're right about that though.
The more we talk about SHY, the more I want it, which sucks because I know we won't get it.
Oniontaker did mention that another SNSD subunit, namely one that people want (and to my mind, there is no distinct calls for a subunit aside from that of SHY resonating throughout the English speaking fanbase), have recorded a full body of work and have filmed a music video - all they need is the go ahead for a debut.
