I agree with all of this except I disagree with the song choices. "Birthday" and "Adore You" are the only songs I think are decent off those two albums. I also liked the first two singles off
ARTPOP and "Gypsy" but otherwise, yeah, it's mostly an incoherent mess.
Also are we counting Lorde as a major pop girl yet? I hated "Royals" and I dislike her persona and the marketing surrounding her, but for the most part
Pure Heroine is solid.
I also think she knew what she was doing with Adore You
