Call me paranoid, but if they are stubborn or whatever, the state of California I mean, they can say that the footage was taken illegally - if in fact it wasnt cleared by the right people - and they can stop it from being released/used.

It's highly doubtful, since she made the donation and stuff, but still, it's not impossible.

It's not a him, it's the state that fired the guy who works at the castle, but it is not confirmed, as you say, that if it was connected to Gaga and mr Hearst said himself he doesn't know why this person was layed off.
