idk if it's just me, but I've always noticed that you can't open a collapse tag inside a quote, you have to go back to the original post. So I assume you could delete your original post and then it would just be un-openable. I also just prefer posting them under a collapse so I don't see my face quoted a bunch of times

If a collapse is quoted, only the first quote on the page will open. Therefor, if it gets quoted twice on a different page than the original post, only the first quote will open.

Naturally, if it gets quoted multiple times on the same page as the original post then the original post will open and the others won't.
