Also, sales don't necessarily affect the fact that Applause is a song Gaga will probably be remembered by. I mean, if you ask someone in 2 or 3 years about Gaga's songs they will most likely say Applause along with Poker Face, Bad Romance and Born This Way.

I think the music video might be but Telephone isn't that remembered as a song. I know I used to think of it as that cool video Gaga did with Beyoncé before I was stanning.

Oh and if Gaga somehow manages to get a real HUGE hit next era, I can guarantee you that no one will ever talk about Applause anymore, in fact even most of her fans, that stan for success, will start hating it (kinda like what happened with MTN )

Most people don't know/remember Born This Way, The Edge of Glory, and Applause (TEOG and Applause weren't even hits in most countries and BTW was shortlived)
They're hits but they simply don't stack up to her signature RedOne hits

Just Dance was huge but only in USA, Canada and Autralia IIRC. Gaga did not explolde untill Poker Face came out
