The lowdown: Has a party move ever felt so meaningful? On this ascendant closing track from the deluxe edition of Bangerz, Miley reaches for the outer limits of her vocal range with the same fervor that she commands listeners to reach their hands in the air. Brimming with such passion, it’s nearly impossible not to get swept in her request—and that’s entirely the point. This is Miley’s awakening, a young woman flexing her power as she realizes that she’s at the top of the world.
ATRL says...: "What an enthusiastic title for such a non-event," joked lovesong. Himeros called it a "pathetic song and even more pathetic guest." madonnas said it "makes me wish Ludacris was as fun as he was about 10 years ago." But stereo.love disagreed with all of them. "This is actually really awesome and criminally overlooked," he wrote.
Best bit: That anthemic hook, in which Miley sounds like she wants you to wave 'em around like you just do care. What a revolutionary.
After two good bonus tracks, this was a disappointing closer to the deluxe version.
It sounds to me like she chopped up pieces of almost everything else she's done on the album and tried to stitch them together because she needed to pull one last bonus track out of her ass.
