As we all know, Paula Deen's multi-million empire was brought down due to her admission of using a racial slur in the past during a deposition for a lawsuit. Afterwards, the GP went up and arms and turned against her bringing her empire down, when ultimately, the lawsuit was dropped... Now that all this mess is done, does anyone feel sorry for her? As someone who you would think would be offended by it (a black person) I think people took it too far but then again that's my opinion.
But some of the stuff they made because of this is funny as hell..
She did screw up, but I do feel bad for her because she genuinely felt bad about the whole thing and apologized, and people are criticizing her when 99% of the people doing so have used the same word she used and much worse words themselves. Her haters are very hypocritical and I think the extent everyone took it to was totally uncalled for.
She was an ignant fool with a mouth without a lock, but the crumbling of the industry she built up was undeserved. The network fired her just to hush everyone up as quickly as possible, not because they actually gave a crap about the racist comments.
you do know that the racial slurs weren't the only reason she got sued.
She wanted to have a slavery themed wedding and had separate bathroom for her black employees.
And it was a white person who exposed her for all this.
When she opened her mouth at that deposition and said what she said, she should of knew what gates of hell she opened. I don't feel sorry for her, and I will never feel sorry for her.
