If someone told me that this was meant to be the video shoot for Legendary Lovers I would completely unquestionably believe them. Legendary Lovers being part II would be an absolute dream.



And really, who gives a **** about critical acclaim. If Katy wanted that she'd stop being a Pop Star and release they type of Music that critics love. She's not going to release songs like Choose Your Battles whilst she's still in 'singer-songwriter masquerading as a popstar' mode.

But she can still do that, I'm not telling to release only the risky songs to work, but try to do follow a different way sometimes
PRISM has already 2 hits and it's pretty enough, she's playing all day long on radio stations so she's already having promo, it's time to risky and show that Katy Perry is more than candies and lollipops.

Welp, I think Unconditionally and DH (until the video..) don't share the same style you can find in TD, nor will Legendary Lovers. The second part of Prism and even Roar or Walking On Air show a new side of Katy too. She has evolved pretty much

She just needs to release more MVs like Teenage Dream (single), Unconditionally and TOTGA without losing her fun of course!

Great post She was on the right track with Unconditionally and also Dark Horse but its video ruined it and it's almost like TD era once again her image wise. That's why I still hope that Birthday or TIHWD won't be released. Otherwise oh well maybe next era will be more mature.

well i'm here for Birthday because that song is for top 10 and can become WW hit but she needs to be classy and sexy not tacky . I can image a video with here waking up while her man is still sleeping and she starts do prepare a cake but in a classy / sexy way not clumsy than when he is awake she gives him kiss . Than then go out side in nature having a picnic at the lake and they are drinking wine , whispering in the ear to each other ect , and when the night falls down they go to a lake cabin and she wears a red lipstick and black lace lingerie and when they hump to each other MV is over . But since Prism era is cartoony she will probably have flour all over her face , she will be jessica rabbit with pink balloons

My main issue with PRISM is that she doesn't know how to describe it well.

Before releasing it she said that it shows her as an edgy woman.

That's not true at all imo. I'm not sure how she got this idea but it's completely untrue. I'm not sure she knows what an edgy image really is.

What I've always loved about Katy is that she's self-aware, but she lost me there. I hope she doesn't consider PRISM the best she can do as a popstar. She really has a lot of place to grow, which I can't say about many of her peers.

This treatment would slay, I can picture it! I can even think of a couple of moments where it could be slightly camp but still keep the video's seriousness overall, like accidentally rubbing flour on her forehead and looking at the cookery book in confusion. These shots could be literally a second each and it would be alright and for the most part, it could stay sexy but still very Katy.

I was so thinking something like this too! The next mv for birthday needs to sexy and realistic. It can still be fun, but no costumes and it needs to have an everyday theme to it. Normal clothes, but still a nice display of big balloons.
