Today in matchups we did not predict: Lana Del Rey is working with the Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach on her new record, Ultraviolence. No word yet on what exactly their collaboration entails, but there they are, above, in a photo posted on Lana Del Rey's Twitter.
It's kind of surprising given Auerbach's response when asked what he thought about the Lana Del Rey phenomenon in 2012. (Remember when every single person in the music industry was required to offer an opinion on Lana Del Rey? Memories...) "On some level, we've seen that Lana Del Rey thing since we first started," he told MTV at the time. "All of a sudden this new band would be headlining festivals and we're like, 'Wait, how did they get that?' We've been here for two, three, four, five years and we're still working our way up. But then they're gone. Just as quickly as they get up there, they disappear." His bandmate Patrick Carney added that he "feels bad" for acts like her.
ur kidding? she really said that? ch.. her hairy ass would say some mess like that. nobody is known for waxing more than brasilians
Yes. They were leaked.
I remember bothering to read one of them (her handwriting is horrible).
I just tried to look them up and all I found was info about them.

Also included in the auction is an “archive of 21 letters faxed by Madonna to boyfriend James Albright spanning the years 1992 to 1994. The faxes are from all over the world … She uses the code name ‘Lola Montez’ (a dancer and actress born in Ireland who became famous as a Spanish dancer, courtesan and mistress of King Ludwig I of Bavaria), and sometimes refers to Albright as ‘Ceasar’, ‘J,’ ‘James,’ ‘Booty Man’ (calling herself ‘Lil Booty’) and even in one letter writing, ‘Happy Thanksgiving Sambo.’ Estimate: $3,000 to $4,000.”
“First of all, I don't really like ****** music. Now before you act all offended, I would never (publicly) call any Black person a ******, I’m just saying that Beyoncé usually makes ****** music. R&B/urban/Black people music has never made much sense to me; it's just a bunch of hollering, jungle noises and drums as far as I'm concerned (Attention all R&B artists: You're not in Africa anymore. Please call Dr. Luke! NOW!). I guess Beyoncé thinks she’s too good to use the same overused beats, sounds and producers as her peers, but I don’t see the point in releasing music for any purpose other than going Top 5 on the Hot 100 or appeasing Caucasian bottoms and 12 year olds. Let me just be clear, I don’t completely hate Black music or Black artists. I’ll listen to Black music if it’s performed by White Artists (Adele, Eminem, Amy Winehouse) and I’ll listen to Black artists as long as they are performing European-inspired music, but I don't really care for most of Beyoncé's discography. See, when I'm looking for songs to twerk my taint to, I want less "Treat me with respect and put a ring on it" and more "**** me raw and text me when you feel like it". “
